When it comes to locations, New Mini Homes can either be installed into a leased community, or onto your own land, and here at Havill’s, we are happy to serve all of NS.
If you do not already own land, we are happy to offer you lots of leased land options for where new mini homes can be situated, in and around the Halifax metro and surrounding area. With a land leased community, you will benefit from a site that is in or near the city, and that has already been fully prepared to receive your new home. While you do have to factor in an additional monthly lot rent expense, these fees may include the following services: any septic/sewer maintenance related costs, (water consumption is usually metered separately), road maintenance, snow removal in the parks during the winter months, local mail delivery, garbage pick up service right from your home site, and this fee also offsets your property taxes.
Should you prefer more privacy and larger lot sizes, you may benefit from owning your property. Please do keep in mind that private land development can be quite pricey and Mini Homes cannot be located anywhere, as there are certain zoning by-laws that will need to be met. No matter what the final destination will be, leased lot or your own land, we will be happy to assist you with your home site preparations and we’ll always do a complimentary site visit once we have a firm commitment from you, to see how we can best fit the home onto the site and that way we can ensure a smooth process during delivery day.
