Next to building a family with my husband, purchasing a home from Havill’s was the best thing we ever did. Having no idea how things worked, a staff member named Viola was there with a smile and willing to help us with everything. As time went on and things were coming together, next thing we knew, we were in the process of buying our first home. We were told every detail as things were happening, we were never caught off-guard with anything. We were notified of the day of delivery and we were there before they were even there to place the home on our lot. We were so excited that we were pacing up and down the road as they placed it on our lot. We hadn’t even had our keys yet and we had our old place all packed up. We were so excited that we forgot to leave a few things out. The day finally came to get our keys, and just knowing that we would be opening the door to the place that we would be calling are OWN. Even Viola was very happy for us, and gave us a beautiful house warming gift. It has been 6 months now and it still feels amazing to have our own house. Things are so different for us, having family and friends to come over for dinners and having the room for them is awesome. The love in our house has grown even more. To this day, it still feels great to say “our house”. To anyone out there wanting to get some info or looking into buying a home, I would recommend you to take the time to visit Havill’s, the staff is amazing, willing to help out in any way they can. Trust me, you want to experience the happiness my family and I did. You will not be disappointed. We wanted to share with you how much we enjoyed dealing with everyone we came in contact with during our purchase and our setup. Having been a home owner before, I was skeptical on what we would encounter with the procedure. I could have saved myself any worries as the whole procedure from start to finish was done so professionally. From the moment we started to make our inquires we were treated like royalty. When we sat down to discuss the plans, I was totally amazed that I was able to make any type of adjustments to the floor plan that we wanted. Discussions went back and forth and the end result was the most beautiful mini home I have ever set foot in. Everything was explained in detail and all of our requests were able to be met. I felt like I was designing a Million Dollar home and was treated as such. When it came time for delivery, once again I was so thrilled at the care in taking the old mobile away and building a new lot. The expertise that went into making sure our new lot was satisfactory and what we wanted was completed on time and exactly as we wanted. The crew was amazing and really went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. I am in the Customer Service industry and expect a very high level from other people and I would certainly put Havill’s at the top of my list for the best Customer Service I have ever received from anyone. Thanks to Viola, Merlin and the rest of the wonderful people who work at Havill’s.

What makes a great community? Sounds like a simple question and a very important one when you are buying your first home. When you come from the city and move to the country there are some adjustments to say the least! We thought: “Are we going to like not having a store in our backyard? What are the people going to be like? What is there to do? Are we going to be bored?” Well let me tell you, it didn’t take us long to put the city life in our past! I remember the first time we came out to see our lot (our home hadn’t been delivered yet) and our next door neighbour came out and introduced herself. We started talking and have been great friends since! When we were moving in, other neighbours didn’t just come introduce themselves but helped us move items in our home! When my husband built our shed, within a matter of minutes he had three neighbours over helping him. This past summer, we got together with our neighbours every Saturday night. It’s like being part of a family out here! So back to the question, “What makes a great community?”. Valley Gate Trailer Park is the best community I know! It’s the respect of the people, it’s the walking down the street and people waving and saying, “Hi”, it’s neighbours who plow out your driveway and mow your lawn. I can’t think of a better place to raise my two children! Community is defined as its people, and the people here are the best kind! Originally we had decided we’d live in this place for a few years and then move, now we don’t have any plans on moving because we know that it is hard to get neighbours like ours! I feel safe as can be here and am very pleased with our decision to buy and live in a Havill’s home!

When first thinking about purchasing a new home, it is exciting and overwhelming all at the same time. Because one would think that it is not usually as easy as walking in, sitting down with a representative, and finding a home that will meet all of your family’s needs and all within a very short period of time. But in fact, it was just that easy for our family. We met with a lovely individual (Viola) that worked on our behalf to ensure that we would walk away from our first time home buying experience with minimal worries. She was sure to include us as an entire family when meeting with us, and she explained and laid everything out so we would fully understand all of the paper work and process involved. There were no hidden gimmicks or false promises made. But instead, I feel an extra effort was made to ensure that when we moved into our new home we would be fully satisfied, and we were, and still are! We waited patiently for those three months to pass and they flew by, and when we witnessed that home backing into our lot it finally made the dream we had for our family become a reality, and we couldn’t be happier. Especially watching our two young daughters just run through one end of the house to the other, knowing that we were finally able to provide them with a home that was brand new, warm, healthy, clean air with no mould (something every family should be able to provide to their children). That in itself is what we will cherish in purchasing our first home from Havill’s. We are now in a lovely area of Middle Sackville, where it is well maintained, nature is literally at our back door and a good sized yard for our little ones to play in. Overall, it is a wonderful pleasure to be able to come home and unlock the door to our own home, something that once seemed like a dream but now is a reality. The entire process of purchasing our first home was a very pleasant one and we are very pleased that we made the choice to buy through Havill’s.

Let me begin with saying how happy I am with my decision to purchase a new mini home. After spending the last few years renting in a not so great area, with my daughter fast approaching school-age, I realized I needed to make some pretty big decisions on where I wanted her to attend school. Once I decided on several areas I did a lot of research into rental units not even thinking that I could afford my own home, when someone suggested contacting Havill’s. As a single parent I found home ownership a little intimidating and I didn’t want to be in over my head with major repairs or anything associated with a large cost so was admittedly hesitant but decided it couldn’t hurt to look. I sent an email for some general information which quickly led to a meeting with Viola, my sales consultant. There I was able to view many different options of mini homes and learned that I could own my own home for less than than I could rent in the same areas. Viola completely understood my main goals which were getting into a home that I could afford and that was truly “turn key”. She worked with me effortlessly and patiently to answer my many questions. She was honest and upfront with me in every step of the process and at no point were there any surprises or extra unexpected costs, everything went exactly as she said it would. After moving into my home, the excellent service did not stop there. The service department, particularly Merlin, have been excellent to deal with – they are efficient and reliable, they show up in a timely manner and always do a great job. Both my daughter and myself love our home and would highly recommend Havill’s.

My fiance and myself knew we needed to find a home. We were both at the point where we grew tired of paying rent on something that is just letting us live there. It would have been just as well to burn the cash we threw away while renting. This lead us to search for that perfect home to call our own. We knew we didn’t need a mansion or a castle, we just wanted something cozy to call our own. We dealt with various realtors who seemed so pushy and very clearly just wanted to make that big commission sale, it seemed like our feelings on the place weren’t of the main concern to these realtors who will go unnamed. We hardly even started and we were already getting tired of the home hunt. It was at this point my fiance and myself talked to friends of ours who just bought a mini home from Havill’s. We where so amazed by the quality and craftsmanship in the home. It was nothing like the old mini homes you used to see. The place they had felt like something more. That push was all we needed to go for that initial meeting with a Havill’s sales rep; Viola. From the start, she was friendly and questions were always answered with a smile. The requests we made on the interior was done without a hiccup. Start to finish, we knew what was going on with our home, from construction to arrival. The only problem we had was the wait, because of our excitement to get into our new home! When our home arrived, it was in mint condition and the quality of it was great and still is. We found our perfect home to meet our needs and we’ll never forget that first feeling of our keys in hand. The community is great as well. The most noise you hear is a vehicle moving on the street. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to live and a better home to live in. Thank you Havill’s for being great through the whole experience. Keep doing business the way you do, and we’re sure you’ll be around for decades more.

We have lived in Alderwood Trailer Court for 20 years in an older trailer. One day the wind blew and blew and almost blew our house down! We went out to Havill’s initially to see about repairs and ended up with this brand new home. From the salesman to the installation – your company has very competent staff. To Merlin and his team, we cannot say thank you enough – they had to work around many flower beds and didn’t even hurt them. They made the installation easy, as we were very stressed over being displaced from our home. There are so many wonderful features about our new home, compared to our old home. This was the right decision for us and thank you to everyone involved.

Living in apartments for years we had thought about moving into a house but being older, we did not want to pay a huge mortgage payment so we thought we would check out mini homes. In March of 2010 we stopped by Havill’s and met the Havill’s representative, Viola who showed us some model homes. We fell in love with one model and decided to buy. Viola took the stress out of making choices, explaining everything we needed to know, even having an extra closet built when we decided to have the home made wider. There was a specific lot that we really wanted and Viola worked hard to ensure we got it…..we were so excited the day she told us!!!!! The day the mini home arrived was also very exciting……to watch the crew manoeuvre the home into the lot was an amazing process to witness. Merlin and his crew were outstanding, even moving the home over a few feet at my request. I was reminded, however, that they were not moving a couch!! Now that we are moved in and settled in, we know we made the right decision when choosing a Havill’s Mini Home. We both love the feeling we have every time we come in the door, knowing that our “home” is really ours and is well crafted and will last for many years to come. We were very pleased the the entire process, from beginning to the end and have recommended to others that a mini home is the way to go.

When we bought our new mini home at Havill’s, we had no intention in buying. We first spoke to Alicia (ValleyGate Park Mgr) looking for a rental property. She mentioned buying a new mini home, which is a thought we hadn’t considered. To be honest, we didn’t think we would be able to buy. It was three weeks from the initial consultation to our move in date, and it was seamless. Havill’s even made sure that our closing fell just before the provincial tax hike. Havill’s certainly make the transition from renting to homeownership a pleasant and relaxed experience. Thanks to them, we will enjoy our first Christmas in our very own home. Thank you, Havill’s!
